The following instructions show you step-by-step how to install the template we have created for you into the Auctiva listing software.
- Login to Auctiva
- Using the links at the top of the page hover over Listings and then select Create New under the heading Custom Templates
- Name your new template
- Add a thumbnail URL (optional)
- Click the Source button
- Open the file we sent to you called listing-template.txt
- Copy all content
- Paste all contents into Source
- Click Source again to return to the designer view
- Replace any areas with Custom Template Tags from the list on the left (if you highlight the current description)
- Replace image with Image Tags as selected bottom left
- Make any other changes you want to the rest of the template
- Save as New
The template is now installed behind the scenes, and each time you list an item using the Add Template Simple (as explained below) and it will surround your information with your template design.
Tip: There is a button in the top right of the screen called Preview. When you think you are ready to list your first item just hit the Preview button to take a look to make sure things look right (certain dynamic content wont show) but the overall layout and look should be as expected.
IMPORTANT: Once you have created your first listing with the custom template, take a look on it on eBay and make sure it all looks perfect before listing more items. You can send the item number to us to check it for you too, if you wish.
